Performance & Operation of 3-phase IGBT based PWM Intervert on R 
& R-L load.
Inverter refers to a class of power conversion circuits that operate from a dc voltage source and convert it into a symmetric ac voltage. The derived output AC voltage and frequency can be varied  by varying the modulation index and gain of the inverter. The inverter gain may be defined as ratio of the ac output (RMS) voltage to dc input voltage. A single-phase inverter can be implemented using a four-quadrant chopper. The duty cycle of the switching control signals is made to vary such that the voltage at the chopper output alternates at a given rate between positive and negative values. Pulse Width Modulation(PWM)is a process in which the width of the square pulse in positive and negative halves can be adjusted according to the RMS of the output required. Figure 1 shows a four-quadrant chopper connected to a resistive load.

Description:
The purpose of the demonstration is to implement a simple and cost effective processto control the speed of 3 Phase AC Induction motors using the most popular V/F drivetechnique involving IGBT based cycloconverter technique. In this demonstration Motor Statorvoltage and frequency are varied to maintain constant torque for permissible V/F range. Thesystem is provided with various control keys to control the motor speed and direction, usingthese keys, depends upon the user requirements, the user can change motor speed anddirection. Performance & Operation of a closed loop speed control of DC motor (12v or 24V/50 Watt) drive using i phase, four quadrant chopper Drive

The Four-Quadrant Chopper DC Drive (DC7) block represents a four-quadrant, DC-supplied, chopper (or DC-DC PWM converter) drive for DC motors. This drive features closed-loop speed control with four-quadrant operation. The speed control loop outputs the reference armature current of the machine. Using a PI current controller, the chopper duty cycle corresponding to the commanded armature current is derived. This duty cycle is then compared with a sawtooth carrier signal to obtain the required PWM signals for the chopper.
