HiQ make Control Systems engineering lab Trainer kits have been designed to suit the engineering Institutions. In training and to make understand the concepts of various techniques adopted in the areas of an electronics control & instrumentation engineering. All these units are self contained supplied with all necessary circuitry with a built-in Power supply & Signal Generators. And the functional block diagram of the each section is printed on a front panel and the test points & controls brought outside from the pcb and terminated them on a panel. So that at an every stage the signal can be measured and verified the results. Each module is enclosed in an attractive powder coated metal boxes. With in-built power supply and signal sources, user only have to add the oscilloscope to perform the various experiments independently.

A major portion of any first course on automatic control system invariably revolves around the study of D.C. position control systems. Experimental work in this area has however been confined to analog simulated systems, e.g. through our 'Linear System Simulator' or similar other units. The biggest advantage of this approach is the unlimited flexibility and near perfect operation of the simulated systems leading to a close correlation between theoretical and experimental results, however, the student is denied the feel of a physical electromechanical system. The present unit has been designed with this objective in mind. Despite the constraints like friction, dead zone, nonlinearities due to amplifier saturation and motor current limiting, and low speed of response associated with any mechanical system, the student has been provided with enough opportunity for experimentation on a working system.

Error Detector : The basic error detector consists of two servo-potentiometers with calibrated dials of 1 resolution mounted on the panel. A common A.C./D.C. (selected by a switch) signal is internally connected to these, and the potentiometer outputs are permanently wired to a unity gain instrumentation amplifier. The output of the instrumentation amplifier is brought out on the panel. This constitutes the error detector.
Demodulator : This block is needed during the a.c. operation of the potentiometer. The a.c. output of the potentiometer may be connected to the demodulator input and the output obtained is a phase-sensitive d.c. signal.
